a. Bluetooth Data

BellXS uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to detect and communicate with compatible locks nearby. During operation, the app collects:

  • Device names and identifiers (e.g., MAC addresses of locks)

  • Signal strength (RSSI) for proximity detection

  • Communication logs between your device and the lock (encrypted)


    Note: We     do not collect or store personal information from the locks themselves. All communication is secure and encrypted.

b. User Account Information

If you create an account or log in to BellXS, we may collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Authentication data (e.g., hashed passwords)

c. Location Data (Optional)

To improve Bluetooth scanning performance, BellXS may request location permissions. However, we do not track or store your location. This permission is strictly required by your device’s operating system for BLE functionality.

d. Usage Data

We collect anonymous analytics to improve app performance and user experience, such as:

  • App version

  • Device type

  • Crash reports

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

  • Enable secure communication between your mobile device and BellXS locks.

  • Authenticate users and manage access permissions.

  • Improve app performance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance user experience.

We never sell your personal data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data security is critical to us. We use industry-standard encryption for all communication between your device and locks, as well as for storing sensitive information (like authentication data).

BLE Communication Security:

  • End-to-end encryption during device pairing and communication.

  • Challenge-response authentication for lock operations.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party services to help us operate and improve BellXS, such as:

  • Crash reporting tools (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics)

  • Analytics platforms (aggregated, anonymized)
